Policy Brief

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company policy addresses our responsibility towards our environment, our commercial peers and our fellow citizens that make up our total ecosystem. Our Company is committed to protecting and improving this total ecosystem so that this and future generations can enjoy, improve and contribute to their wellbeing and the wellbeing of future generations. Keepad Interactive is committed to giving back to the world just as it gives to us.

We strongly believe that an important focus in the way we give back is the use of our strength in the effective use of technology to enhance education & training and empower people to improve their skillset and self-worth. This focus on technology and training will also be complemented by charitable works directed at addressing the needs of local and international constituents and refugees.

Scope

This policy applies to our Company and its related entities. It also refers to suppliers, partners and customers as we encourage them to share our values and contribute to the wellbeing of our total ecosystem in conjunction with, and in addition to, our endeavours.

Our company’s social responsibility falls under two categories: compliance and proactiveness, as below:

  • Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe, uphold and improve community values.

  • Proactiveness encompasses our initiatives to promote human rights, human betterment, help communities and protect our natural environment.

Protecting the Environment

Our company recognises the need to protect the natural environment. Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a benefit to all. We will always follow best practices when disposing of garbage and the use of chemical substances.

Human Rights

Our company is dedicated to protecting human rights. We are a committed equal opportunity employer and will abide by all fair labour practices. We ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country (e.g. forced labour) and we actively advocate anti-slavery adherence throughout our supply chain.


Proactiveness


Donations and Aid

Our company is committed to providing monetary donations and Aid to a number of local and overseas charities as well as our own internal charitable and community focussed endeavours. We are especially conscious of the underprivileged including the plight of refugees as well as how the use of technology and education can increase the confidence, skills and self-worth of various communities; especially the young and the elderly

Volunteering

Our company encourages its employees to volunteer for community service. They can volunteer through programs organised internally or externally and our company may also support volunteering events from other organisations.

Our staff are encouraged to take a day per calendar quarter on a fully paid basis to support community and charitable endeavours. These endeavours include working in the field as well as conducting free educational and training sessions for the betterment of the various supported communities, whether they be students, teachers, unemployed, underprivileged, retirees, refugees etc.

Preserving the Environment

Apart from legal obligations, our company will proactively protect the environment. Examples of relevant activities include:

  • Recycling

  • Conserving energy

  • Preferencing carbon neutral suppliers whenever practical

  • Promoting environmentally-friendly technologies

Supporting our Communities

Our company supports community investment and educational programs. For example, it may begin partnerships with vendors for constructing public buildings. It can provide support to non-profit organisations or movements to promote cultural and economic development of global and local communities.

Technology & Education

We will actively invest in R&D around the design and provision of educational courses to promote the values and focus of our CSR. These courses will address the use of technology to enhance the way people learn and interact and to also promote the awareness of the plight of the underprivileged, refugees and the environment.

United Nations Global Compact

Our company is committed to the United Nations Global Compact. We'll readily act to promote our identity as a socially aware and responsible business.
